Privacy Policy

Last updated: 6 October 2026

Ohmein Jewellery Co. Private Limited ("OHMEIN", "we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you visit ohmein.co.uk or buy from us, how we use it, and your rights under UK data protection law (UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018). We are the "controller" of your personal information.

Who we are

Ohmein Jewellery Co. Private Limited, Centec Business Centre, Liverpool, L9 6AW. Email: info@ohmein.co.uk.

Information we collect

  • Order details: your name, email address, delivery address, phone number (if given), the items you buy and the order value.
  • Payment details: handled securely by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
  • Messages: anything you send us through our contact form or by email.
  • Marketing preferences: whether you have agreed to receive marketing emails.
  • Website usage: with your consent, information about how you use our site and respond to our adverts, collected through cookies (see our Cookie Policy).

How we use it and our lawful basis

  • To process and deliver your order, send order confirmations and handle returns — necessary to perform our contract with you.
  • To answer your questions — our legitimate interest in providing good customer service.
  • To send marketing emails about new pieces and offers — with your consent, or, if you have bought from us, about similar products where you did not opt out (the "soft opt-in"). Every email includes an unsubscribe link.
  • To understand how our site is used (analytics) — with your consent.
  • To show you relevant OHMEIN adverts on other websites and social media (remarketing and retargeting), and to measure our adverts — with your consent. We may also share a securely scrambled (hashed) version of your email with advertising platforms such as Meta or Google to create "custom audiences", only where you have consented.
  • To prevent fraud and keep accounting and tax records — legal obligation and legitimate interests.

Who we share it with

We never sell your personal information. We share it only with trusted providers who help us run our business:

  • Stripe — secure payments and fraud prevention.
  • Our website and email providers — hosting the site and sending order emails.
  • Delivery partners such as Royal Mail — delivering your order.
  • Google (Analytics, Tag Manager, Ads) and Meta (Facebook, Instagram) — analytics and advertising, only with your consent.
  • Our accountants, professional advisers, or authorities where the law requires it.

Some providers may process information outside the UK, for example in the United States. Where this happens, we make sure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as UK adequacy regulations or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement.

How long we keep it

  • Order and transaction records: 6 years, as required for UK tax and accounting.
  • Customer messages: up to 2 years after we last hear from you.
  • Marketing data: until you unsubscribe or withdraw consent; we keep a record of opt-outs so we don't contact you again.
  • Cookie data: see our Cookie Policy.

Your rights

You have the right to: access a copy of your information; have it corrected; have it deleted; restrict or object to how we use it (including an absolute right to object to direct marketing); data portability; and withdraw consent at any time. To use any of these rights, email info@ohmein.co.uk. We will reply within one month. There is usually no charge.

You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link in each email, and change your cookie choices using "Cookie settings" in our footer.

Keeping your information safe

We use secure, reputable providers and encrypted connections, and limit access to personal information to those who need it.

Children

Our site is not aimed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, please contact us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
